This plan provides a more traditional ambiance.   A large reflecting pool has been added next to the interior courtyard.  Guests proceeding to the entrance will view the pool through a Moon Gate.  They will then mount several steps and pass by a perforated Chinese screen.  The interior two story high courtyard is lit by a continuous glass roof-light.  It has a stream running through it and a small traditional bridge crosses this. In the courtyard, against the Study Room wall, lies a planting bed containing tropical greenery. The wall behind these plants is covered with mirror, so the plants are visually doubled.  The exterior pond and moon gate are seen through a large window in the courtyard.  Next to the window is an imposing stairway which flairs out at the bottom.
