The 14,000 sq. ft. office is comprised of a steel and concrete superstructure, with a curtain wall, EIFS, and concrete block exterior. The final design was the result of continuous feedback and consultation with the Chamber of Commerce and its members. The end result was a building that matched the vision of the Chamber of Commerce. The Surrey Chamber of Commerce also houses the new office premises for Pacific Rim Architecture Ltd. After the Ground Breaking ceremony in early Spring 1998 (attended by many municipal and provincial representatives), the building was completed Spring 1999. Opening Ceremonies for the Chamber were held soon after, with several dignitaries in attendance including Mayor Doug McCallum, former Mayor Bob Bose and others. After completion, the Surrey Chamber of Commerce expressed their great pleasure with the quality of services and quality of construction provided by Pacific Rim Architecture. |
