Ian received a B.Arts (Geography, Psychology) from Simon Fraser University in 1984.  He started architectural studies at the technical university of Nova Scotia in the fall of 1984.  This four year masters included two co-op work terms in Toronto.  Upon graduating in 1988, he returned to his home city of Vancouver, BC.  He worked for Susan Wong Architect from 1988 to 1993, and obtained his professional registration in 1994.  In 1995, he opened his own practice that he operated until 1999.  In early 2000, he joined Pacific Rim Architecture Ltd. 

Ian has experience in all aspects of architectural design, with an emphasis on residential and institutional projects.
